Baked Apple Cider Donuts

Who ever said you had to drink apple cider? I do my best to turn anything into a donut. This apple cider donut, particularly during these fall months, is one of my favorites. So easy with Wilton donut pans, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea or even a late night snack!

3 tbs unsalted butter
1/3 cup apple cider
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp apple pie spice
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg

3 tbs butter
1/3 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small sauce pan, melt the butter. Stir in the apple cider and set aside.
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and apple pie spice in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Whisk the sugar and egg into the cider and butter mixture until evenly combined.
Stir together the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
Spray the donut pan with cooking spray and pipe in batter.
Bake for approximately 7 minutes, until golden brown but not too cooked!

Melt the butter and place into a small bowl.
Dip each donut in the butter and sprinkle with sugar. Place donut on cooling rack.
