Blending up 4th of July Fun with Hamilton Beach!

Can you believe we are in the middle of summer?! Well, not totally, but it is July and we are in the heat of it! We are very much enjoying our summer, our first summer with Cooper! It is hard to believe that he is already nine  months old and in these fast nine months I have learned so much as a new mom, including how to accomplish a lot in the kitchen with less time and sometimes less hands. I do not always have the time to create complicated recipes, I am always running after him crawling around and scaling walls, and when Cooper is napping I certainly do my best not to make too much noise. So how do I get ready for a party? Particularly Fourth of July?

My go-to appliance this summer is hands-down the Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender. Without sacrificing blending power, they have reduced the noise it makes and there are countless ways to make easy delicious smoothies, cocktails, appetizers, and more! From smoothies to salsa, soups to sauces, you can make anything, and you can make them quietly!

Here are four reasons why I love the blender and four recipes to go with them. For your chance to win this Fourth of July weekend, check out my Instagram. For each post we are giving away one blender! That is right, you have four chances to win! All you have to do is follow me, follow Hamilton Beach and comment on the post!

Have a happy Fourth of July weekend! Enjoy the sun, parades, fireworks, friends, family, and enjoy these recipes!

Quieter Blending - Fre’s Frozen Treat

Keep that baby sleeping regardless of what you’re blending! Like I said, I do my best to keep things quiet when Cooper is sleeping. Not going to lie, that boy will sleep thru anything, he is a champ, but I certainly do not need the noise of ice crushing when there is peace and quiet in the house! The quiet shield reduces the amount of noise from your blender when placed over the jar, plus it doubles as a serving pitcher. It’s also perfect for carrying ice from the freezer to the blender. Air flow around the motor and rubber-mounted components also helps to dampen noise during blending.

Who doesn’t want ice cream, lemon, elderflower and a little bubbly? As many of you know, when I was pregnant and nursing I loved drinking Fre’s Brut. This is a great summer treat that you can drink all day long and what I plan to serve to my pregnant friends during the 4th of July parade! I love having a non-alcoholic option that is a little more special than just a seltzer water or soda. This is a perfect beachy summer mocktail!

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • ¾ cup lemonade
  • 2 cups Fre Brut
  • 2 tablespoons elderflower syrup

  1. Combine all ingredients in the Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender.
  2. Turn the dial to the right to speed 5 and, blend for 20 seconds.
  3. Pour and enjoy!

Powerful Performance - Frosé For the Fourth

Get the power the pros have - with a commanding 1500 watts of power and a 2.0 peak horsepower motor, the Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender delivers the performance you need for restaurant-quality results. Hardened stainless-steel blades rotate 105 mph to power through ice and tough ingredients in seconds.

If you haven't tried the frosé (AKA frozen rosé wine) trend yet, this recipe is the perfect place to start. We promise that you won't be disappointed! This delicious summer drink is a grown up version of slushies that everyone enjoys when the weather gets warm. You'll simply partially freeze your favorite rosé wine and then blend it with a few other yummy ingredients. The result is a perfectly sippable drink that is ideal for summer barbecues, and with this red color it is perfect for the 4th festivities!

  • 1 bottle rosé wine (750 ml)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 strawberries
  • 2 1/2 ounces fresh lemon juice

  1. Pour rosé into a large ziptop bag, seal, and freeze until almost solid, about 6 hours. The rose will not completely solidify due to the alcohol.
  2. Make a simple syrup by bringing sugar and water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Remove from stove and cool.
  3. Put rose in the Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender, add the strawberries, lemon juice and  2-4 ounces syrup, depending on desired sweetness.
  4. Purée on the puree setting until smooth.
  5. Use the tamper included to move the frose around and blend again until you achieve your desired consistency.
  6. Pour and enjoy!

  1. Combine all ingredients in the Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender
  2. Turn dial to the right to speed 5. Pulse until blended to the desired consistency.
  3. Pour over grilled or sauteed shrimp. Or just eat with chips!

Before the big parade tomorrow I am going to drink my “mom juice”! This is my on-the-go green smoothie, with sweet pineapple and superfood acai.  This blender crushes thru the frozen pineapple with such ease, and I love the pre-program feature that allows me to set it and move onward to my next task. I make this smoothie every morning when Cooper is still sleeping, yay quiet feature, or when he is eating breakfast puffs in his high-chair. I am able to hang with him and do other things with the pre-setting feature. He loves watching me cook and the blender is a very fun thing for a baby to watch in action!
